Appearance: Extremely vain, Dahlia Hawthorne makes sure she always looks nice. She has a pale complexion (absolutely unmarred) and a slender (nearly frail looking) figure. Her bright red hair reaches just past her shoulders (plaited in two braids at the crown of her head) while her make up is always impeccable and her finger and toenails are always in a perfect manicure. She always carries a lace parasol and usually wears a pink shawl around her shoulders, both to protect her fair skin from the sun. She loves wearing delicate sun dresses and is usually seen in a knee length white dress with pink lace trim.

Personality: To anyone who doesn't know any better, Dahlia is seemingly the perfect girl. Sweet, chipper and always giggling or smiling; she has the ability to make a person feel like they're the only one in the world that matters. She's the epitome of innocence... Unless you've seen her true colors. True, she has the perfect front: everyone believes she's as innocent as a child, with her doll-like looks and personality. She plays up that role well, too. Cross her (or sometimes simply existing is reason enough) and she will find a way to get back at you. Evil, conniving, manipulative and rotten to the core, she won't stop at anything to achieve her goals; her revenge.

Dahlia is extremely vain and a perfectionist, she plans out every last detail of everything she says or does. She's determined to let nothing link back to her. However, should a situation be pressed to its limits, her temper is something to fear. When she loses her temper, she doesn't hold back. In fact, only a select few have seen her lose her temper... and have lived to tell the tale.

Because of her manipulative nature, she distances herself from others. In no way is she empathetic or caring, everything she she does is for her own gain. Yet, despite her underlying personality, she's able to make "friends" (or acquaintances) easily.

Abilities: Dahlia is an expert at manipulating others and can make a single person feel like they're the only one she sees. Because of her lack of empathy, she also feels no remorse for killing someone. Instead, she prides herself on pulling off the perfect crime (and not getting caught...).

Weaknesses: Despite her perfectionist tendencies and pride on not being caught on her crimes, she has yet to successfully pull of the perfect crime or murder. Mia Fey linked together her past crimes and she was found guilty on all charges. Vanity is a nearly crippling weakness of Dahlia's because she depends so much on her own beauty. If she didn't have that to fall back on, she wouldn't know what to do. She's extremely frail (to coincide with her vanity) and is physically weak. She could only hold her own in a fight for as long as her nails and heels would work.

Although she wouldn't consider it a weakness, her apathy also weakens her in a sense. Because of it, and her uncanny ability to make enemies, she doesn't have anyone she can truly rely on. Although she doesn't realize it, it cripples her even more because she doesn't have anyone to relate to and it only helps to further her apathy. Without someone to be close to, she doesn't realize how the things she does affects other people and only hleps isolate her.

Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider

History: Dahlia and he twin sister, Iris, were taken away by their father when he left their mother. When he remarried, he sent Iris away because he didn't want three daughters (his new wife already had a daughter). At age fourteen, Dahlia decided to steal a diamond worth $2 million from her father with the help of her tutor, Terry Fawles, an her stepsister Valerie. The three of them faked Dahlia's kidnapping and Valerie was to make the exchange. At the last second, Valerie and Dahlia decided to cut Terry from the deal. Valerie shot him in the arm on top of a suspension bridge. Dahlia then decided to cut Valerie from the deal and jumped over the side of the bridge.

Terry was accused of her murder and was sentenced to death row. Meanwhile, Dahlia lost the diamond, but changed her name to Melissa Foster since she was supposed to be dead. Valerie knew Dahlia was alive and started to feel guilty for what they'd done, by then Dahlia was a college student at Ivy University.

Terry escaped from jail and called Valerie to ask her to meet him at the bridge, to discuss with her how and why things went wrong in the kidnapping ploy. Valerie agreed to meet him and called Dahlia to let her know that she was going to tell him the truth. Dahlia showed up at the bridge as Valerie did and murdered her. Terry showed up soon after and the murder was pinned on him. Mia Fey, assisted by Diego Armando, was his attorney for the trial. Melissa Foster was the prosecution's witness, and during the trial she was revealed to be Dahlia. She coerced Terry into poisoning himself on the stand to keep the truth about who killed Valerie a secret. Dahlia walked off free, but Mia was distraught. Diego helped her investigate the case over the next six months. He invited her to the courthouse cafeteria for an interview, finally, but before the interview had ended, she'd slipped poison into his coffee. She ran off and found Phoenix in the courthouse library, where she gave him her poison necklace as a gift. With the key piece of evidence safe in his hands (and not in hers), she was let go. Afterwards, she pretended to date Phoenix so she could get the necklace back, but he wouldn't do it.

Eight months later, she caught her ex-boyfriend, Doug Swallow, trying to warn Phoenix that someone had stolen poison from the lap his night before... and eight months earlier. He was insistant that the culprit was Dahlia. After Phoenix became upset and ran off, Dahlia electrocuted Doug to death. During Phoenix's trial, however, evidence that had been missing from other cases appeared and Dahlia was found guilty. She was sentenced to death for Valerie and Doug's murder, manslaughter for Terry and attempted murder for both Diego and Phoenix.

On death row, Dahlia has spent five years in jail before she mysteriously blacked out (and what luck, she was only months away from fulfilling her sentence!)... and wound up in Manhatten..

Relationships in Manhattan:

Iris Hawthorne: To put it simply, Dahlia tolerates her sister... To a point. Iris' overly emotional nature drives Dahlia insane, the murderess sees it as a weakness. Iris' lack of a spine also annoys Dahlia.... Only for as long as she needs to keep up her facade will she treat her sister well... Unless she needs a favor from the girl.

Mia Fey: Mia Fey..... Dahlia, in short, hates Mia. HATES. Mia was the one who sent her to jail. Yup.... Dahlia despises her.

Diego Armando: Should be dead, but what're ya gonna do about it? Aside from that, he amuses her every so often with his more than obvious dislike for her... But sometimes he manages to get under her skin and really rile her up. He's fun to torment.

Maya Fey: Annoying, cumbersome little brat.

Phoenix Wright: ..... Is quite the dolt. Dahlia will admit that he's grown up quite a bit, but is still as stupid as ever.

Apollo Justice: Is adorably brave. The little lawyer really thought he was going to intimidate her!

Demyx: Now here's something we never thought we'd see. Dahlia has grown quite possessive over her little musician, to the point where people have been able to use him as leverage against her. She adores the attention he gives her and really doesn't want to give that up.

Marluxia: He intrigues her, and gives her poison when she asks for it. Couldn't ask for a better housemate.

Uchiha Fugaku: One of Dahlia's first allies in Manhattan.. They have a very love hate relationship.... With less love and more hate.

Seymour Guado: Dahlia's not quite sure what to think of him yet, but he's definitely caught her interest.

Wolf: Frightens Dahlia like no other. Really and truly, after he took a chunk out of her shoulder, the murderess has been extra careful around him. She despises him.

Axel: Haven't interacted with him much--- Rather.... We'll get back to you on that.
